After exploring numerous books in a vain attempt to assist students with their handwriting I decided to construct my own system which is a simplified version of any other handwriting guide, as it gives the students a complete guide through the intricacies of each letter formation.

I first realised the difficulty the students were experiencing when I first became a school governor to a local High School with responsibility for Special Educational Needs and as, in the present curriculum climate, there is little or no provision made for the schematics of handwriting styles I took to instructing students myself, within school, in the hope of seeing an improvement. The biggest hurdle I found was that the majority of students had had no previous teaching of this subject. On seeing the different techniques the students where using to “do their best” I felt I had no alternative but to try and simplify each letter in a logical manner that the students could understand.

I would like to thank the staff at the school and the students for bearing with me whilst I was fine tuning the manuals they eventually work with and the inspiration for this web site.
